A 57-year-old woman was referred to our department for a whole-body F-18-DOPA PET/CT scan after surgical treatment of medullary thyroid cancer to exclude metastases as the reason for persistent low-level calcitonin. The PET/CT showed an area of increased tracer uptake in the frontal right skull, being otherwise unremarkable.
